- How do i get updates on how my cat is settling in while we are away ?

We pride ourselves on a personal service and aim to ensure your cat is settled and enjoying the stay. We update our social media pages most days to keep everyone updated with what’s happening at ‘The Ings Luxury Cat Hotel’.
During the stay you will receive a personal update each week about your cats holiday.
- What happens if my cat is taken ill ?

We always take contact details of your cat’s vet at time of booking. In the event of illness we would contact you first to keep you updated. Our local vet is on hand 24 hours a day and is available to attend our hotel in case of any emergency. Our vet can consult your own vet if any additional information is required.
- What if I have a nervous cat ?

Not a problem, we pride ourselves at The Ings for our patience, care and expertise in making all our guests feel relaxed, special and cared for. Even the most nervous cat will settle in no time at all. We use FELIWAY diffusers in all suites for when guests arrive. These mimic a pheromone which help cats naturally cope with stressful situations and help provide a contented environment for your cat and restoring feelings of safety and well-being. Plus a little tasty cat nip, treats and cuddles will have them relaxing in no time at all.
- Do we need to bring toys and bedding ?

No, all bedding and toys are supplied, however if you wish to bring your own items to help your cat settle in that is fine.
- How do you charge for shorter stays ?

Day of arrival , day of departure and all days ‘booked’ (as opposed to used) are charged for, We have a mimimum stay charge of 3 days, this covers a deep clean and sanitising of suites between guests, replacement of all soft furnishings and cat litter and other consumables. Peak summer months have a seven day minimum stay.
- Are you open public holidays ?

Yes we care for our guests over these periods, please be aware we have no arrivals or departures on Bank holidays, we are however closed at Easter and Christmas.
- Can I cancel my booking ?

We require 14 days notice in the event of a cancellation.
Cancellations with less than 14 days notice will incur full charge. if the suite can be resold a refund may be offered at our discretion. Invoices are prepared on a days ‘booked’ basis rather tha days used in the event of a shortened stay.
- Does my cat require Vaccinations ?

Our guests health is paramount. All guests must have current vaccination certificates for Cat Flu and Feline Enteritis. A certificate will be requested on arrival. We regret we cannot accept guests without these vaccinations. Please also ensure flea and worming treatments are up to date.
- My cat is on medication, is this a problem ?

We are happy to administer medication / treatments for our guests, please let us know of any special needs or dietary requirements at time of booking. Please be aware there is a £5.00 per day charge.
- What are the opening hours ?

We are open Monday to Friday from 10.30am to 12.00pm and then 4.30pm to 6.00pm. Saturdays 10.30am to 1.00pm. We are closed Sundays and all Bank Holidays. All arrivals and collections by ‘appointment only’ to ensure all guests receive one to one personal service and attention.
Please note from 2026 our opening hours will be
Monday to Saturday 10.30am to 2:00pm
Sundays closedSecurity is important to us, our gates are usually closed please use the intercom for entry.

All bookings require a non returnable £100 deposit (£50 if less than a 7 day stay)
- How do I pay and when ?

Payment in full is required at the latest the time of collection; we accept most cards, cash and bank transfers.
Payment can be made at anytime via our online booking system. your personal account was created when you booked your stay.
